Geraldine Kaufman, DVM, Diplomat, ACVIM SA Internal Medicine

Dr. Kaufman completed her undergraduate degree at the William and Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia with a B.S. in 1971. She then attended Purdue University Veterinary School in West Lafayette, Indiana. After graduation, Dr. Kaufman practiced in small animal medicine in Washington, D.C. She returned to Perdue for a Residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine. Dr. Kaufman was boarded in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 1982. She studied for a Master’s in Intradisciplinary Engineering and finished a Fellowship in Comparative Nephrology. Dr. Kaufman was on the clinical faculty of Purdue and was the Director of the VHUP ICU until she left for private internal medicine in the late 1980′s.
Dr. Kaufman has been performing endoscopy since 1978 and ultrasounds since 1992 as part of the internal medicine work-up. Dr. Kaufman offers free continuing education for the veterinarians of the Delaware Valley. she has spoken nationally and internationally, including at the British and European Veterinary Conferences.
Dr. Kaufman resides in Bridgeton, NJ with her husband Dave and two dogs, Tess and Mickey. They have two children, Paul, and Adam. In her free time, she enjoys reading, walking, biking and gardening.
